VinCE Budapest Wine Show 2017
The first edition of VinCE Budapest was an occasion to introduce the event with the masterclass of Jancis Robinson, and the next year Steven Spurrier came, the mastermind behind the famous “Judgement of Paris”, the encounter between the French and Californian wines in 1976. We have been able to invite more and more Masters of Wine, to the point that the London-based Institute of Masters of Wine decided to celebrate its anniversary with us during a masterclass with 10 Masters of Wine in the panel in 2014. Last year the 7th edition was dedicated to the protection of the environment, with special emphasis on organic wineries and tastings of bio wines.
At the 8th edition of VinCE Budapest Wine Show we offer no less than inducting our guests into the depths of the knowledge, unveiling the secrets, and letting them look behind the scenes. We present them the favourite sparkling wines of the Tzars which might be unavailable even for some celebrities, and let them peek into the glasses of the highest levels of society.
Announcing the topics and presenters of the masterclasses is always followed with great interest from the audience. Traditionally we publish the topics in the first days of February. But to tease our future visitors we would like to present one of our most popular masterclass : the Champagne masterclass.

Champagne Roederer – the sparkling wine of high society
presented by Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, chef de caves
currently scheduled for Saturday, 9.30AM (200 guests)
The Maison Roederer is primarily famous for its prestige cuvée, Cristal, which was created especially for the Tzar Alexander II in 1876 – who instantly fell in love with it. Since then, many celebrities, rappers and hip-hop stars among them, have tasted it and even have written songs about it, but the champagne house haven’t found that flattering, and even expressed its disapproval. The champagne house, which is picky with its own clientele – and has won twice the annual sparkling tasting of VinCE Magazine – selects carefully the venue of its tastings as well. But after 3 years of negotiations the VinCE Wine Show proudly presents the Champagne Roederer in Budapest.
